FirePower Youth Fitness & Training is a foundational necessity for youth development and health. The program goal is to create physical confidence and competence from motivated kids and teens who excel at any task, be-it sport or life.
Over time, the teens and pre-teens who participate at FirePower see themselves in a new light. The feel empowered, strong, capable and energized. Our team of well-educated and experienced coaches are their guides. They coach the athletes through new movements, new workouts, new challenges and new experiences.
This program is not simply an activity you do, but rather the foundation for who they become: Strong, Powerful, and Supportive.
Varsity, Grades 9-12:
Mondays / Wednesday @ 5:30pm
This class is for athletes in grade 9-12 looking to build their CrossFit skills in a fun environment. This class will focus on building fundamental movement patterns and learning the mechanics of common CrossFit movements. Each class will include a warm up game, movement review and a workout.
Tuesdays / Thursdays @ 6:30pm - Advanced class
This class for athletes in grade 9-12 interested in exploring the advanced / competitive side of CrossFit. These athletes are proficient movers who have mastered the fundamentals of most CrossFit movements and are looking to fine tune their skills. Athletes will work on gaining more technical skills as well as building capacity in a more competitive environment. Enrolment in this class is subject to coach approval.
Junior Varsity, Grades 6-8:
A) Mondays / Wednesdays @ 6:30pm
B) Tuesdays / Thursdays @ 5:30pm
This class is for athletes in grade 6-8 looking to build their CrossFit skills in a fun environment. This class will focus on building fundamental movement patterns and learning the mechanics of common CrossFit movements through games and workouts. Each class will include a warm up game, movement review and a workout/game.
Tuesdays / Thursdays @ 4:30pm - Advanced
This class for athletes in grade 6-8 who are proficient movers through fundamental skills and are looking to fine tune these movements. Classes will focus on building more complex skills and capacity building through more challenging workouts. Enrolment in this class subject to coach approval.
Youth Strength Class (Advanced JV & Varsity)
Saturdays @ 10:30 am
Athletes will focus on working through a strength program. Ideal is to complete 8 weeks. This is optional add-on for Advanced JV and Varsity athletes.
