CrossFit is constantly varied functional movements performed at relatively high intensity. All CrossFit workouts are based on functional movements - core movements of everyday life. Jumping, throwing, lifting, climbing, pulling, pushing, running, biking, and more. Intensity is essential for results and is individual to all athletes - the intensity of one athlete may not be the same as another. By employing a constantly varied approach to training, functional movements and intensity leads to dramatic gains in fitness.

FirePower Boxing has a 15 year history of training recreational and elite athletes. We found our niche in providing authentic boxing training in a non-contact, fitness-focused environment. You will find real heavy bags, real equipment, real boxers, real people, and real training. You can expect high intensity interval-training, a strong emphasis on mechanics, boxing strategy (the sweet science), and "OMG that was awesome!" FirePower Varsity is a strength and conditioning program for teenage athletes ages 13-17 that excels in preparing them for the rigours of life inside and outside of the gym. We recognize that everyone has different fitness capabilities and because of that, coaches ensure that we tailor each and every workout to find a way to allow you to be successful, all while guaranteeing that you push yourself to work hard outside your current perceived limitations.
We teach coordination, agility, accuracy and proper movement patterns long before we introduce intensity and heavier weight. Younger kids do not always need to lift heavy load to get stronger. They need to learn how to recruit the right muscles through better body awareness to make them stronger. This teaches them you don’t have to be an 'athlete' to be a good CrossFitter. Athletes will increase overall fitness, core strength, rotational speed and power by incorporating striking drills into CrossFit workouts. Striking is designed to incorporate basic mixed-martial-arts, boxing and self-protection striking concepts into traditional CrossFit workouts. All this is done in a non-contact format that focuses on proper technique by using shadow boxing, focus mitts, kick shields and a heavy bag. To participate in CrossFit Striking classes, FirePower athletes are required to participate in a one-time 90-minute Striking Foundations course that runs quarterly or on demand with enough athletes. CrossFit workouts for kids is the beginning of a life-long love of fitness. Our daily themed workouts involve pushing, pulling, running, throwing, lifting, climbing and many other activities that improve fitness, coordination and confidence.
